She has a fascinating biography that includes:

In 2001 Alexis Mateo won the Inter Fashion Award for Best Fashion Designer and moved to Orlando Florida to become a Dancer/performer at Walt Disney World.  Alexis Mateo has had the opportunity to dance with many stars like: Diana Degarmo, Mariah Carey, Michael Bolton, Jennifer Hollyday, etc. In 2004 she won the Best Production Award for her participation in The Miss Florida FI pageant.

"Alexis Mateo has won many beauty titles and pageants including: Miss Fl. USofA, Miss Fl. Latina, Miss Orlando, Miss Central Fl, Miss lakeland, Miss Waterside, Miss Suncoast, Miss Suncoast America, Miss ASAP, Miss Lakeland America, Miss Orlando Latina, Miss Florida International and Sunshine State All American Goddess.

Alexis' most recent accomplishment was being cast for season 3 of the smash hit reality TV show Rupaul's Drag Race premiering January 24th on LOGO TV!
